Cornelia Stampnik has been appointed as the interim head of the office at the German Rowing Association

Cornelia Stampnik embarked on her journey with the German Rowing Association (DRV) on January 1st, 2010, as a youth secretary with the German Rowing Youth (DRJ). Over the course of seven years, she organized two Olympic youth camps and spearheaded numerous DRJ projects. However, in pursuit of new challenges, she made the tough decision to depart from the DRV.

Yet, her bond with the DRV proved stronger than anticipated. Following assignments in Saxony, Hamburg, and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, she returned in 2022 armed with a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives. Since then, she has been at the forefront of the DRV's structural reform as a consultant for organizational development.

Now, as the DRV prepares its headquarters team for the transition to a professional executive board, Cornelia Stampnik has been appointed as the interim head of the office until the “Rudertag” in 2024.

"With her dedication and expertise, Cornelia Stampnik serves as the bridge guiding us towards the vision of a professional executive board and the implementation of structural reform," explains Moritz Petri, Chairman of the DRV, endorsing this move.

Fully aware of her new responsibilities, Cornelia Stampnik embraces the challenge: "My goal is to relieve the volunteer executive board while accelerating processes within the DRV. Building upon the analysis of our organizational development process, we aim for streamlined decision-making pathways, critically evaluating and realigning existing processes. Through these measures, we seek to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our organization, ensuring a sustainable future for the sport of rowing.”
